VIP - MS Teams Integration - Adding Users - Customer Side

This Guide will walk you through adding users to the MS Teams Integration and through the Crexendo VIP Portal. To complete these steps you must be an Office Manager and the Microsoft General Administrator with access to the teammates integration.

  1. Work with the CrexendoVIP team to get your MSTeams instance Registered and online with Our Integration:
    1. This will require you to have the Direct Routing user setup on our Office 365 instance
    2. Add all of the required licenses to your users on the serverside

  1. The Steps 3-10 may not be needed if your Project Manager setup your Crexendo VIP Account and imported all of your user data ahead of the cut date.
  1. Open the CrexendoVIP Portal https://portal.crexendovip.com/portal
  1. Click on the Users button on the top navigation row

  2. Click on the Users name that you wish to configure the Teams Integration on:

  3. Confirm in the profile that the users Office 365 email address is the one listed on the individual user account

  1. Once the Email Address has been confirmed we can move on to Device Creation
  1. Click on the Phones link in the navigation bar under the Users

  2. The Following screen will show you all of the individual users devices. (If the MS teams phone is all the user will be the only device they are utilizing you can select that extension as the Teams Extension)

  3. Click on the Add Phone button and we are going add a new device for Microsoft teams
  1. Create the new device extension and assign it a lettered We use 100T to indicate MSTeams extensions. (This will be important and we will be using this extension later in the Teams Setup)
    1. Please assign a 911 phone number at this time, it is required for the TEAMS registration
    2. The Model of the phone please leave as (Select a Phone Model)
    3. The Preferred server should automatically show which one is closest to your location
    4. Overrides will be left blank
    5. Click Add button once Completed
  1. Once added you will see a new device showing you completed the setup successfullyblobid6.png
  1. Please complete these steps above for all users whom will be using the MS teams phone
  1. Once completed the Office365 administrator can sign into the MS Team Integration tool. (You will need to login via the email sent to your Microsoft General Administrator account)
  1. Now we are going to add the users to the Teammates Integration. (This values will differ, but the fields remain the same)
  1. Navigate to User Management >> Add User
  1. Select the desired PBX If only one is configured for this enterprise then only one will appear in this dropdown.
  1. For each CrexendoVIP user there will be an option to use an existing endpoint on the PBX or create a new one. Upon selecting the SIP User from the dropdown, all existing devices registered to that user will populate.

  1. In the phone number field please use the users Numbered Extension. (100,1000,10000) (DO NOT USE THE AUTO POPULATED CALLER ID)

  2. To use a device that already exists, click “Select” next to the desired

  3. Check the Disable Voicemail in Teams Box for messages to be left on the CrexendoVIP phone system

  4. Once all the fields have been populated and a device selected press the Add User button and it will create the new user

  5. Complete the following steps above for all users.

  6. You may see Sync Teams registration button on your system once all the users are added:

  1. Press this button and all the users will be actively synced over. (If the button is missing, the system sent over the registrations via live update)
  1. The Office365 Administrator will recieve an email once all the users have been synced and registered to confirm that they are ready to use
  2. You will also see in the CrexendoVIP Portal that the device is now registered to
    MSTeams

  1. Once the users have been added, and you confirm they are registered have all the users LOGOUT AND LOGIN OF ALL MS TEAMS APPLICATIONS
  1. Upon logging out the Teams users should see the following icon on their MS Teams instance:

  1. They will now have a Dialpad and it will show thier extension number below under work number:
  1. Teammates is now ready to use.
