Simultaneous Ringing Extensions rings all of the phones in a designated group at the same time. Users can add another Simultaneous Ring Extension, Personal Extensions, Sequential Ring Extensions, and/or Personal Numbers to the group and set up schedules for each. The voice mailbox for this extension is the designated owner's mailbox.

Options
Final Destination Type |
If the call goes unanswered, setting a final destination directs the call to others who may answer. Choose from the following options in the "Final Destination Type" dropdown list:
|
Incoming Call Name Display | Choose the caller ID name that is shown after a call has been received and answered on this extension. |
Incoming Call Number Display | Choose the caller ID number that is shown after a call has been received and answered on this extension. |
Advanced Simultaneous Ringing | In advanced simultaneous ringing mode, if one of the member's extensions is set to call forward, then the call will be forwarded without disconnecting any other members' lines. For example, in non-advanced mode, a call rings in to a Simultaneous Ringing Extension that has 3 members. One member has set their extension to call forward. This immediately disconnects the other two extensions, while the call forward extension continues ringing. Advanced mode is the way to keep all 3 members' extensions ringing despite any call forward rule they have setup. |
Ring Timeout Override |
This is disabled by default. Determine how long a call will ring in to all members of the extension before moving on to the final destination. Each member has a default ring timeout of 30 seconds. This option overrides ring timeout for all members. Select a new timeout from the dropdown list: choose 5 second intervals up to 1 minute and then 30 second intervals up to 3 minutes. (i.e. selecting 15 seconds would allow the call to ring in for 15 seconds before moving on in the call sequence.) |
Simultaneous Ringing Group Members
Group Members are those individuals or extensions to be rung when this extension is called. Ring Timeout is how long their extension will ring if it is not answered. Choose a schedule to ensure members are only rung when they're available. There are four scheduling options: Never, Always, Period, and Repeat.
- Never — Turn off a group member and prevent them from receiving calls by selecting "Never". This will remove their "Active" status.
- Always — Calls will always be directed to this group member, regardless of date or time.
- Period — Calls will only be sent to this member within a defined period. Define a start date and time and an end date and time for the period. Minute options are in five minute increments.
- Repeat — If the period of time that calls are to be directed to this member includes more than one week, set up a repeating schedule so that the call routing is the same each Monday, Tuesday, etc. Select the days of the week when this member should receive calls.
